Sharing a seat for the Oscars...

Ruby and Olivia play together so well!
Well, maybe not so much.

Friends who aren't nice, end up alone.
Boohoo.

On our way out.

Hey guys, what are we waiting for??? Let's go! Ruby is now understanding a lot of what we say. If we ask her if she's ready to go outside, she heads to the front door and tries to pry it open. She also knows upstairs, downstairs, bottle, blanket, shoes, and jacket, among others. She's also getting pretty fiesty. I had to call Bob yesterday to ask him how to handle a nap-time tantrum. Fun! It all worked out in the end. Phew!

December 2007

The next pitch player extraordinaire!

Lolly and Papa babysit in Seattle

Are you watching Lolly and Papa? I'm going to climb into this drawer if you let me... Look at me! I'm in the drawer!
And I'm done with that.
Apparently she likes to get into drawers...that is after she has thrown everything out.
Swinging in the hat that Nana made! I love to swing!

Ruby's first Birthday

She wasn't quite sure what to do with it, so she started by poking at it. Then she discovered it was to be eaten. Yumm!

Be nice Ruby. Let Olivia play too! Don't be a bully.

Soft Doggy!

November 2007

Not only did we celebrate Thanksgiving, but we also had Ruby baptised. My brother Bob and his wife Michelle are Ruby's God-parents. As you can tell, Ruby had a blast!

Thanksgiving Day with her early birthday gift from Uncle Troy, Aunt Katy and cousins Joe, Sam and Lucy.

Halloween

She had to be a chicken for Halloween. Too cute!

Fast Forward to now...

Ruby and mom have recently become members of the Seattle Children's Museum. We try to go there at least once a week. It's a fun outing with friends. On this particular visit we were with friends from our Peps group: Clara, Addison and Julian. Ruby loves to run around the place and even ventured down a set of two stairs without holding on to anything. She wasn't standing at then end of her stair trial, but she wasn't crying either. Tough cookie.
